Cyberattack on infrastructure

Post by embleton » Thu Dec 14, 2023 10:16 am

The community forum was attacked from the internet full logs were kept during the attack and no damage was caused to the infrastructure, the cyberattack occurred for several days until upstream firewalls solved the issue and established a lock on the signature of the traffic..

Our infrastructure is currently being attacked by Amazon AWS, no damage is being caused but our community may notice slowdowns during the attack. A signature has been established and a block has been put in place on our firewall, the attack was also reported to Amazon AWS services. 2 further attacks from addresses belonging to Amazon AWS have been blocked with a signature of the traffic, these will be reported if they continue to attack our infrastructure.

It is unwise to attack this infrastructure, we use advanced detection and protection and those offenders will reported automatically if they hit the threshold for a cyberattack. We welcome community members who don't attack but enjoy the material we provide which is unique, and we will protect our readership and contributors with our AI technology.

DDoS attacks on our website application layer (HTTP/HTTPS) from a trine infested with AI-attacking bots from EC2 Amazon AWS servers have been blocked and reported to Amazon AWS, the attack is still underway from 2 of the trine members but mitigation by intrusion protection system (IPS) has taken action, so the attacking traffic is not currently impacting functionality but is consuming bandwidth. It is a pulsating attack at about a second interval against the application website layer at HTTP & HTTPS protocol. It is hitting our infrastructure at a rate of about thirty thousand hits in 24 hours from each member of the attack which is currently two members, one attacking HTTP and the other attacking HTTPS.
